Jenifer's work has always been shaped by one question: How can I help people have the opportunity to succeed?
That question first began to take root while she was serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Paraguay. There, she saw that success was not always determined by intellect, work ethic, or desire. More often, it was shaped by access — access to opportunity, tools, mentors, education, networks, and resources.
For many years, Jenifer was privileged to be fully dedicated to her role as a mother. She and her husband have been married for more than 30 years and built a family centered on faith, service, and love. Together, they raised three sons, welcomed a daughter-in-law, and now celebrate the joy of grandbabies. Along the way, their home also became a temporary place of belonging and support for seven other children, deepening Jenifer’s understanding that opportunity often begins with someone willing to open a door.
While raising her family, Jenifer found meaningful ways to serve, including on the boards of several nonprofit organizations. At the same time, she continued pursuing education and professional development that would help her better understand how opportunity is created, strengthened, and sustained. She earned a Master’s degree in Public Administration, providing her with a deeper understanding of leadership, organizational development, public policy, and community impact.
That lifelong question has guided every stage of her professional journey. As a business owner, Jenifer has worked to develop sustainable infrastructure. As an educator at both BYU Idaho and BYU Hawaii, she has mentored students from more than 100 nations, helping them build practical entrepreneurship skills they can use in their own communities. As Director of Next Level Social Development, she has helped support entrepreneurs in emerging economies through mentorship and access to funding pathways.
Today, Jenifer serves as CEO of Lagom Tech Solutions, a technology company curating applications designed to scaffold and scale entrepreneurial enterprise. Lagom’s mission reflects Jenifer’s belief that people do not always need more — they need what is sufficient for their needs, delivered at the right time and connected to the right support.
Her life’s work is rooted in the belief that entrepreneurship can be a path to possibility, especially for those who have the desire and determination to succeed but lack access to the systems that make opportunity possible.
